MICHELLE R. PORTNOFF, ESQUIRE
Michelle Portnoff is the co-founder (with her father, Alan Portnoff) of Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. Under her direction, PLA grew from a small office representing five municipalities to representing approximately 90 school districts and municipalities throughout Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the Chester County Bar Association public service award for her involvement in establishing a telephone hotline for free legal advice. In October 2011, Michelle was elected to serve on the Pennsylvania School Board Association Service Associate Member Advisory Council.

ALAN B. PORTNOFF, ESQUIRE
Alan B. Portnoff was admitted to practice law in 1961 and has earned Martindale-Hubbell's coveted AV Preeminent certification. Among his proudest accomplishments are the many years he served as the solicitor for the Chester County Sheriff's Department and his role as a key driver behind the passage of Act I of 1996.

DIANE M. BOEHRET, ESQUIRE
Diane is an attorney in our Client Management Department. She represents clients in Berks, Bucks, Chester and Schuylkill Counties. Diane graduated from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana in 2006 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Diane earned her J.D. in 2009 from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was a member of the law review. Diane joined Portnoff Law Associates in 2011.

KEVIN H. BURAKS, ESQUIRE
Kevin H. Buraks chairs Portnoff's Litigation Department. Kevin serves on the Board of Editors of Pratt's Journal of Bankruptcy Law, and is the past chair of the bankruptcy committees of the Philadelphia and Montgomery County Bar Associations. He has taught continuing legal education courses on bankruptcy law to fellow attorneys, and has published numerous articles in a variety of legal publications and journals, including The National Law Journal. Kevin is currently a member of the Board of School Directors for the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, and serves as a volunteer attorney for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project, where he represents children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect.

ROBERT M. CARELESS, ESQUIRE
Robert M. Careless is an attorney with the Client Management Department. He represents clients in Montgomery and Delaware counties. Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University in 2006 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and History. Upon graduation, Bob joined the firm as a paralegal and then served as a law clerk while he attended law school in the evenings. Bob received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2011.

ROBERT P. DADAY, ESQUIRE
Robert P. Daday is a litigator with Portnoff Law Associates. He is past solicitor for the City of Allentown. Bob is a retired U.S. Marine, served as Judge Advocate, as Deputy Counsel for the Marine Corps Air Bases Western Area, and as Deputy Chief Counsel for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Most recently, Bob served in the Marine Corps Reserves as Judge Advocate at Marine Aircraft Group 49, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

KATHERINE L. DiAMICO, ESQUIRE
Katherine L. DiAmico is an attorney with the Client Management Department. In addition to her license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Kate is licensed in New Jersey and Massachusetts and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

MEGAN O. IANNACONE, ESQUIRE
Megan O. Iannacone is a member of the Client Management Department. She currently represents clients in Allegheny, Beaver, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Washington and Westmoreland counties. Megan graduated from Haverford College in 2003 with a B.A. in History and received her M.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. She received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2009 where she was a Beasley Scholar and Semi-Finalist in the 2008 ABA Section of Taxation Law Student Tax Challenge. Megan joined Portnoff Law Associates in 2010.

JEFFREY P. KELLY, ESQUIRE
Jeffrey Kelly is part of the Client Management Department. He represents clients in Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Northampton, and Wayne counties. Jeff joined the firm in 2009. While attending law school, Jeff volunteered with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), an organization that assists low-income taxpayers in the Philadelphia area prepare their tax returns. Jeff graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics and attended Villanova University School of Law.

JASON J. LEININGER, ESQUIRE
Jason J. Leininger is chair of Portnoff's Client Management Department. He has been practicing creditors' rights law in Pennsylvania for the last 12 years and has been with Portnoff Law Associates since 2003. Jason is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is also admitted to practice in the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Berks, Bucks and Montgomery County Bar Associations.

JEFFREY C. SCHWARTZ, ESQUIRE
Jeffrey C. Schwartz is our in-house counsel, advising the firm with respect to legal compliance issues and handling the firm's special litigation cases. Jeffrey is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has over 20 years of experience in diverse areas of civil litigation. Among his accomplishments, Jeffrey authored a brief in a landmark asbestos case for the Third Circuit, United States Court of Appeals.

JACQUELINE TASSONE
Jacqueline Tassone is our Director of Paralegal Services. She joined Portnoff Law Associates in September 1995 as one of the firm's first full time employees. Prior to joining the firm, Jackie worked in a collection agency as a paralegal for 4 years, primarily collecting consumer debt. A Philadelphia native, she earned her paralegal certificate from the PJA School in 1991, where she held a 4.0 GPA.
