Daniel Schley

Attorney

Daniel Schley is thrilled to represent the third generation of the Portnoff family at Portnoff Law Associates.  Prior to re-joining Portnoff in 2021, Mr. Schley spent several years in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, a preeminent global law firm, where he practiced in the corporate department.

Dan is a graduate of Dartmouth College (A.B. cum laude), the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management (M.B.A. with distinction) and Cornell Law School (J.D. cum laude).  During his time at Cornell, Dan received various honors and awards, including 3 CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and was selected to be a Pro Bono Scholar, allowing him to devote his last semester of study to performing pro bono services for the poor.  His legal scholarship on corporate law was recently published in the Chapman Law Review.  Dan is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and is licensed to practice law in Florida, Pennsylvania and New York.

Outside of Portnoff, Dan enjoys playing guitar, practicing Spanish and learning Pennsylvania history.  He looks forward to continuing to work with Pennsylvania officials to help strengthen their communities.
