Doug Gerwick is a Client Management Attorney with Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. He joined the firm in 2021 and is responsible for our clients in Allegheny, Beaver, Blair, Butler, Clarion, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Indiana, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties.
Mr. Gerwick graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in Clarion, Pennsylvania in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. While at Clarion, he served for three years as a school board member for the Allegheny Clarion Valley School District. He attended Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1993. While at Duquesne, Doug was the recipient of the Paul J. Gitnik Academic Scholarship. In 2011 he received certification in mediation and arbitration from Cornell University’s Scheinman Intitute on Conflict Resolution.
After his graduation from Duquesne, Doug was appointed by Governor Robert Casey as a magisterial district judge in Venango County. He was elected for three terms and served for over 18 years.
Doug currently resides in Mercer County with his wife, Michelle and their two sons. He serves on the Grove City Area School Board and is in his fourth year as board president. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
